Weddings in Scottish Castles

Highland Wedding Bells can arrange for your wedding to take place at picturesque Eilean Donan Castle (above, middle) which sits on Loch Duich just a stone's throw from the mystical Isle of Skye. One of the most well-known images of Scotland, the castle was built by the Mackenzies centuries ago and is now home to the Clan MacRae. Click here for photos of weddings at Eilean Donan Castle.
Ardverikie Castle

Having starred as 'Glenbogle' in the long running BBC drama 'Monarch of the Glen' for many years, Ardverikie is one of the finest private houses in the Scottish Highlands. Queen Victoria and her beloved Prince Albert stayed here in 1847 before she bought Balmoral Castle.
A 3-mile private drive winds past Laggan Sands, the largest inland beach in the country.
Located one hour's drive south of Inverness Airport.
Special rates are available for customers of Highland Wedding Bells (contact us for further details).

Dunnottar Castle has a spectacular location on the North Sea coast 15 miles from Aberdeen.
Centuries of history have been played out against the backdrop of this dramatic setting, where the 'Honours of Scotland' (the Scottish Crown Jewels) were once saved from destruction.

Crathes Castle Crathes Castle on Royal Deeside, just 14 miles from Aberdeen is a real fairytale castle! Not only is it haunted, the gardens are absolutely gorgeous.

The scenic ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness near Inverness in the Highlands are another spectacular venue.

On Thursday 18 February 1999, Julie Jackson-Cline and Stewart Cline were married here: 'We had a great time and loved the Highlands - Thank you again for helping to make a very memorable day'.

Brodie Castle Also in the Inverness area, you can hire the splendid Brodie Castle set in beautiful gardens with a lake.

Set on a wooded estate by the pretty Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer (half an hour from Inverness), Castle Leod is overlooked by 4000-ft high Ben Wyvis. This is the private residence of the chief of the Clan Mackenzie and his family.

For something out of the ordinary - why not get married in a haunted castle? The Tulloch Castle Hotel in Dingwall just 15 miles north of Inverness in the eastern Highlands is at your disposal. With its restaurant, Green Lady Bar and 19 bedrooms, it has all the facilities for your wedding, reception and honeymoon if you wish!
Another historic location on the north-east coast is Dornoch Castle, originally built by the Bishops of Caithness, close to the cathedral where Madonna's baby was christened and near Skibo Castle where her wedding took place in December 2000.
